Anytime during the month you are invited to engage in Intentional Creativity with the inquiry of 'What are your hopes and wishes?' and then asked to articulate your unique piece, wishes, dreams or ideas in a few words. Then please declare this intention by writing on a bronze paper leaf and attach it to ‘The Witness Tree’.
A Witness Tree is a solitary tree amid remote or wide open landscape. Usually a witness tree has been around for many hundreds of years and is the only witness to the history in that area. Everyone wants to be heard, to be witnessed, and to have an authentic moment of human-to-human connection. And to know they make a difference just being who they are. Everyone has a cause, wish or dream, even if they don’t know exactly what it is yet.
This project is the third in a series of collaborative intentional creativity art projects called “The Witness Tree”. This large, beautiful, Shiloh Sophia McCloud-Klimt-esque tree painted in golds and coppers with white stars of the cosmos running through the trunk will be painted by the community, and hung on the wall of Currents Gallery in McMinnville Oregon.
Creativity can be simple, and with intention, it’s power still surprises and inspires. Creativity at work indeed. Claim. Declare. Witness. Simple yet so very powerful.
