As a young child on a trip to San Fransisco, to keep me out of trouble, I was given a box of Cray-pas oil pastel sticks.  That is when the world fell away in a blur of color. I was hooked, and haven't stopped creating since!

After a very short stint in 'Art School', I came across an apprenticeship in the graphic arts field, and began a long career as a creative.  My time with creative tools includes pen and ink journals, as well as botanical drawings. Then I began to dabble in watercolor, even tho I hated watercolors in 'school'. My passion for the media grew. I soon was on the Art Harvest Studio Tour, opening my studio to the public. I remember being so nervous!  In 2005 I joined small group of artist and founded Currents Gallery on Third Street in McMinnville OR. We now represent over 75 Pacific Northwest artist and contribute to a thriving art scene. I have also been on the Board of Directors in several positions, for the Arts Alliance of Yamhill County, who strives to advocate, educate and promote all forms of the arts in the area.

One of my other passions is working with children! I love seeing their eyes sparkle as they try new things. With my love of horses, I started a Therapeutic Horseback Riding program on my small ranch.  We teamed retired horses with at risk teens and worked with people with special needs. So much magic made in those days... I then went on to share creating with children in many settings from summer art camps to Artist in Residence in schools and after school Art Enrichment programs. I truly believe in nurturing the creativity in all of us!

I love to play using all sorts of things!  Painting with watercolor, acrylic and mixed media on canvas or paper is a favorite. I also play in the Mudd with clay. It's all a great mystery when I begin, I never know what will happen. Many times my inquiry will lead me to new things I haven't done before. Thinking thoughts I haven't thought before. That's when the Magic really begins as I jump into the pool of Possibilities!

My passion as I travel, is bringing the joy and empowerment of the creative process into the lives of Women and Children.  I work with a creative process called Intentional Creativity.  When working with Mindfulness and Inquiry we dig deeply into what really matters in our Hearts and Souls.  We are able to change old negative stories into new healthy ones. Putting our marks on paper or canvas helps us cement the change deep into our being.  There is power in Mindful Creating!

I truly believe that we do 'Create Our Own Reality'...
